Bin Laden's reactions
16- SEPTEMBER-2001
On September 16th, 2001, five days after the disaster of the 11-S, Bin Laden said he wasn’t responsible for the attacks in New York. Saudi terrorist disconnected from the facts. But despite pleading not guilty, Bin Laden supported the attacks as an act to defend the Afghan people and strongly supports the Taliban regimen.

Some days later, U.S. President George Bush said Osama Bin Laden as the main suspect of the 11-S. While Bin Laden made no statement on the matter, Bush was preparing his people for a long and hard war against terrorism.
The government of Afghanistan asked Pakistan to pressure the Taliban to surrender Bin Laden to the United States. More specifically, the message sent was to hand over Bin Laden or expose the largest U.S. attack on Afghanistan. For his part, the Taliban resisted to hand over their leader and asked to be tried in a neutral country. Moreover, the Taliban called the Afghan people "holy war” to fight against EE.UU. The ball continued growing and the terrorist network of Bin Laden called on Muslims worldwide to fight this war.
It was not until a few days later, in early October when the U.S. presented to NATO evidence against Bin Laden. These impressive statistics were classified evidence on the involvement of Al Qaeda and their leader (Bin Laden) in the attacks. And for the first time in its history, NATO activated the mutual defense.

Five years later, Bin Laden confirmed in a public manner he be responsible for the attacks. Saudi justify the terrorist attacks of 11-S in an exclusive Arabic television channel, Aljazeera. In addition to this video wanted to warn the United States would never again be safe until the Muslims and the Palestinians had it.
In the video Osama Bin Laden said that the Sept. 11 attacks are a reaction to the unfair and the children continued oppression of the people of Afghanistan and Iraq.
